I recently picked up Battle For Middle Earth 2 recently for the Xbox 360. I wasn’t sure what to expect from a Real Time Stragety game for a console. I was pleasantly surprised however.

That picture you see is my growing collection of crap computer PC mice. You see, I’ve never taken my computer mouse very seriously. I was ok with paying out $15 for any old mouse that moved the arrow around on my monitor. But I got fed up after my 4th mouse in 3 months stopped working. I couldn’t take it anymore. Along with that I was sick of sore fingers from how hard it is to click the damned things as well. I knew I needed a versatile mouse that wasn’t going to suddenly break. I also know I needed an ergonomic mouse that was easy to use without killing my hand after eight to 10 hours of use per day.
My wife and I made a trip to CompUSA today and I splurged. I forked out $100 for the ultimate pleasure mouse. I introduce to you the Logitech MX Revolution. A mouse, apparently, so revolutionary and advanced that the register clerk at CompUSA commented that I must be a hard-core gamer. All I could say was that I needed it so I could click stuff on my desktop.

This baby features Hyper Fast Scrolling, Smart Shift Technology, Document Quick-Flip, One Touch Search, Rechargeable Li-Ion Battery and is a Cordless Laser. Don’t ask me what all of these features are quite yet as I don’t know. But let me just say that every time I grab a hold of this pleasure mouse it feels like I am sliding around a $100 bill on my desk. I’ll do a more thourough review once I get this baby figured out. For the moment I need to figure out what in the world I can do with this scroll wheel that can also tilt left and right. Any ideas?
Here is a last picture of this pleasure mouse on it’s docking station for recharging. Is it me or does this mouse look like it’s ready to blast off to outer space?

I woke up this morning with a rather pleasant email. Joost has accepted my beta application and I now have full access to Joost Beta 0.8 release. I have not had a chance to really devote some time to Joost but it seems to be more intuitive then BabelGum right from the beginning. Expect a full review here soon. For now I’m off to enjoy some Joost goodness!
What is Joost? Joost is a new way of watching TV on the internet, which uses new and established technologies to provide the best of both the internet and TV worlds. Joost uses secure peer-to-peer technology to stream programmes to your computer. Unlike other TV and video-based web applications, it does not require users to download any files to the computer or browse through complicated websites.
